What is Halo?

Halo is a privately owned software company building service management software used by organisations around the world.

We develop, sell, implement and support our own products in-house, helping customers manage everything from IT and customer service to projects and wider business operations.

You will learn what all of that means when you join. We do not expect you to understand the industry already.

How your career starts

In Spanish football, a cantera is a club's youth academy, where players are developed rather than bought in. Halo works the same way.

Halo does not hire experienced people into senior roles. Everyone joins at the start, learns the business from the ground up and progresses from within.

The Graduate Scheme is the main Cantera route for university graduates.

01
Learn Halo

Your first few weeks are spent learning the product, the company and how our customers work.

You will start alongside other new joiners and learn directly from people who came through the same route.

A lot of that learning happens through the people around you, which is why the Graduate Scheme is office-based. You can ask questions as they come up, sit alongside experienced colleagues and see how problems are solved in practice.

02
Start in Support

Your first role is Support Technician.

Everyone starts here because it is the fastest way to understand the product and the customers using it. That knowledge is useful wherever you go next.

You will work directly with customers, investigate problems and take on more independently as your knowledge grows.

Progress from there

Many graduates move into Software Consultancy. Others move into different areas of Halo.

There is no graduate rotation or fixed timetable. You progress when you have the knowledge to take on more.

Where could it take you?

International travel can come early. Graduates have worked with customers overseas within their first year at Halo.

You will join alongside people at the same stage as you.

Trusted. Challenged. Thriving.

"At Halo, my first year has been incredibly varied. I've worked with global clients gaining exposure to international teams and travelling to exciting locations. Adapting to multiple departments and taking on meaningful responsibility from day one, has made every day genuinely rewarding. The trust and support at Halo is unmatched!"

Unmatched autonomy.

"Halo stood out for its autonomy and culture, but what surprised me most was how quickly I developed. Coming from an Economics background with no SaaS experience, I gained valuable technical skills, ownership of my career, and the support to grow into my role supporting our Halo Partners."

Supported to succeed.

"In ten months at Halo, I've been given chances to travel abroad and take on real responsibility from day one. That trust has accelerated my growth and confidence in my role enormously. The flat structure means you can turn to anyone for help, and because everyone started out the same way, we're all in the same boat and genuinely willing to support each other. That collaborative culture has made all the difference."

Questions you might still have

Can I apply before I graduate?

Yes. We usually recommend applying in your final year, but it is not a rule. We have interviewed and made offers to people in their second year.

What if I don't get a 2:1 or BBB?

A 2:1 degree and BBB at A-Level are preferred. We consider your application as a whole rather than treating either as an automatic cut-off.

Do I need to know what I want to do long term?

No. You will learn Halo and understand the different roles before deciding where you want to take your career.

What should I put in my application?

Your grades, all of your work experience and what you do outside of it. Put down the jobs you think are not worth mentioning: bar work, retail, coaching, anything you have been paid for or turned up to regularly. That is the part most people leave off and the part we actually read. Hobbies and interests count too.

Do you sponsor visas?

Applicants to the UK Graduate Scheme need unrestricted right to work and remain in the UK.
