Entering the Tech World: Your Seat at the Table

About This Event

Thinking about a future in tech? Whether you’re a student, a recent grad, or just getting started in your career, come along to Halo House for an afternoon of honest conversations, fresh ideas, and meeting new people – as part of Women in Tech week!

Halo, the UK’s second most valuable software company and the world’s most unconventional workplace, is rewriting the rulebook. By challenging Silicon Valley norms, we’re redefining what it means to build great software – and great teams.

This event, hosted by Halo, is designed to support and empower women who are starting out in the tech world. Expect open discussions, personal stories from the women of Halo, practical advice, and a community that’s ready to champion you.

We’ll also be joined by Sheridan Ash MBE, as our keynote speaker. Named Most Influential Woman in UK Tech 2024 by Computer Weekly, Sheridan is the founder of Tech She Can and a leading voice in tech, diversity, and digital skills. With a background at PwC and across government and industry, she brings sharp insight into how tech can drive meaningful change.

What To Expect

  • Opening remarks from Paul Hamilton, CEO of Halo
  • Keynote & Q&A with Sheridan Ash, trailblazer and advocate for women in STEM
  • Panel discussion led by Rosa Gaffney and four women from Team Halo, exploring real experiences and challenges across the tech industry
  • There’ll be time to network with the Halo team, ask questions, and meet others navigating similar paths. Refreshments and an informal buffet dinner will be served!
