Halo is a UK-based software company creating smart, easy-to-use software that powers some of the world’s biggest organisations. You might have spotted us at the snooker, on football shirts, at Formula 1, or even just online. But what exactly do we do? Put simply, we help businesses manage their tasks, customer interactions, and internal operations better – quietly keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Founded and proudly based in Suffolk, Halo is now the second most valuable software company in the UK. With over 250 employees, we’ve grown rapidly into a trusted global provider – supporting businesses in more than 75 countries, including major brands like Microsoft and leading FTSE 100 companies. We’re fully self-funded, privately owned, and customer-driven, meaning we put people and products first – always.
All of our new starters begin in a Support Technician role, providing opportunities to put what has been learnt during training sessions into practice. As a Support Technician, you’re the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance. You’ll ask all of the right questions to understand customers’ problems, then guide them through how to resolve their issues. Initially, you’ll be working with mentors who will guide you through the resolutions, until you build up a stronger understanding of Halo and are able to problem solve more independently. Over time, this role will develop your technical expertise and product knowledge, giving you the fundamental skills to move into other roles.
As a Solutions Architect, you’ll be responsible for implementing Halo and managing projects from contract signature to handover. Your duties will include designing workflows and solutions, ensuring high product adoption and customer satisfaction, and leading enhancement projects for existing customers. There will be opportunities to travel to our global customers for their implementations. This role requires strong time management, technical expertise, deep product knowledge, and strong problem-solving skills.
As an Account Executive, you will take ownership of the entire sales process, from discovery to contract signing. Your responsibilities include understanding and gathering prospect requirements, conducting product demos, maintaining timely communication, and nurturing relationships with prospects. This will also involve delivering on-site presentations to our global clients and travelling internationally for trade shows. This role requires a deep understanding of the product, strong commercial acumen, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you will collaborate with Account Executives to provide technical expertise for mid to high-value opportunities. Your role involves configuring pre-demo solutions, running integration-related sessions, defining specifications for future integrations, scoping implementation projects, and conducting proof-of-concept demonstrations. You’ll be the technical problem solver, ensuring the success of sales from a technical standpoint, while managing your time efficiently and demonstrating commercial awareness.
As a Business Development Representative, you will execute targeted campaigns to generate leads for our company. You will utilise Outreach to manage communication flows, secure discovery meetings with potential clients, and play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base. This role requires strong organisational skills, commercial awareness, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Submit your application
The first step in the application process is to complete our online form. You’ll be asked briefly about your studies and previous jobs, which we’ll use to gauge your suitability for the role. If your credentials align well with us, you’ll receive an email requesting you to send over your CV. Here, we want you to showcase your academic achievements, work experience, and any extracurricular activities that demonstrate your skills and potential. We want an insight into how your experiences and motivations align with the role.
Screening call
If your CV catches the attention of the hiring team, you’ll be invited to an informal 10 minute screening call to discuss your application in more detail. This is an opportunity for the company to learn more about your background and why you’ve applied to Halo, as well as for you to ask any questions you may have about the role or the company culture.
In-person interview
If you pass the screening call, you may be invited for an in-person interview at our Stowmarket office, usually taking no longer than an hour. This is largely an opportunity for us to get to know you, and get a feel for how you would fit in with the team, and for you to showcase your skills and personality. You’ll also get to have a look around the office to see how we all work, and help you determine whether Halo is a good fit for you (and, of course, check our slide and the office bar!).
After the interview, the hiring team will have a chat about your suitability for the role, and get in touch to let you know whether you’ve been offered a role.
