In this lesson we will cover:
– How to Bulk Edit Child Tickets
– View Important Actions on the Project
– Marking Actions as Read/Unread
– Including Child Tickets on Column Profiles
Within Halo, there is now the ability to bulk update child tickets form within the main project ticket. This allows you to update all tasks at once, saving you time and allowing visualisation of all updates made, directly from the project ticket.
How to Bulk Edit Child Tickets
When viewing project child tickets on the parent ticket when the view is set to 'Table View', there is now an option 'Edit Child Ticket Values' in the menu dropdown. This will allow editing of certain fields. The current fields that are supported are:
- Summary
- Agent
- Additional Agents
- Status
- Start Date
- Target Date
- Budget Type
- Milestones
- Time Budget

Make changes as necessary and then save in the top left corner.
View Important Actions on the Project
In addition to this, there is also an ability to visualise all email actions and actions marked as important from within the main project. The following setting must be applied from within Configuration > Project Management.

There is the option to show only the important actions within the tab. To make an action important you must do the following:

If the emailed actions are also set to show within the new tab, the actions must actually be sent as an email to show in within the tab.
To mark an action as important when on the new action screen, you must click on the following symbol:

The tab will display within the project ticket:

Marking Actions as Read/Unread
From the Child Notes tab, you can mark actions as read or unread.

After marking an action as read, the sidebar will disappear from the action.

Alternatively actions marked as read will have the sidebar appear next to them.
Including Child Tickets on Column Profiles
When editing/creating column profiles, there is an option to include child tickets as a dropdown per ticket, this allows you to click into child tickets from the ticket list, to begin configuring this you will need to hover over the ellipse on the right of the ticket list and click "Edit Columns".

Then choose your desired profile you would like to add this to and click into the miscellaneous dropdown.

Then enable the checkbox "Include Children". After saving the column profile, the following view will be shown when this setting is enabled.

Allowing the ability to click into the child tickets (in this case project tasks) from the main project list view.
