Table View
Field | Type | Description |
Top Left Dropdown | Single Select | This dictates the Message Group to which the viewed Templates belong. |
ID | Header | This is the ID of the template, which can be used via SQL or the API to identify the template. |
Description | Header | This is the name of the Email Template, this will be how it appears in Lists throughout the system. |
Subject | Header | This is the Subject of the Email Tempalte, this can be used to further highlight it's use at first glance from the table view. |
Use | Header | A more detailed description of how / where the Template is supposed to be used. |
Template Configuration
Field | Type | Description |
Edit / Save | Button | Allows the configuration and saving of changes to the setup of this template. |
Template Description | Free Text (Only available on creation) | This is the name of the Email Template, this will be how it appears in Lists throughout the system. |
Email Subject | Free Text | This will be the Subject that is auto-populated on the resulting Email. Dollar Variables are often used here to make the Subject more ticket / client specific. |
Email Body | Rich Text | This will be the Body that is auto-populated on the resulting Email. Dollar Variables are more than appropriate here, since this will allow scenario-specific information to be pre-set into the body. Please bear in mind the use-case of this Template when choosing Dollar Variables, as if they are irrelevant, they will just produce a blank value. |
